Jajarkot village provides financial assistances to newly mothers  

Chunichande Rural Municipality has provided financial assistances to over 588 newly mothers in the rural municipality. As part of the 'vice chair with new mothers', each newly mother has received a total of Rs 2,500 in financial assistances to purchase chicken meat, mustard oil and clothes for the new baby, said officiating chair of the rural municipality Shiva Acharya.  

NAFA reaches agreement with Shahid Gangalal hospital  

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has reached an agreement with Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre to conduct health checkups of its football players.      Following the agreement that was signed by ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa and the Centre's executive director Chandra Mani Adhikari, 20 national football players who have undergone a closed training session have got heart tests, said the ANFA.     

Man charged with murdering father arrested   

The police have made public a man arrested on charges of murdering his father amid a press conference on Tuesday in Kaski district.     Ram Krishna Kami of Annapurna Rural Municipality-3 in Kaski district has been charged with murdering his 58-year-old father Jum Bahadur. On 21 February, Ram Krishna hit Jum Bahadur with a wooden block resulting in his death over a family dispute, according to the police investigations.    

NC heartily welcomes SC verdict on HoR reinstatement

Issuing a press statement this evening, NC President Deuba reminded that NC had termed the HoR dissolution by the communist party government led by KP Sharma Oli unconstitutional, undemocratic, authoritarian and totalitarian. The NC had also spoken against the interference on Supreme Court in the case sub judice, but the need of respect for the verdict.

'HoR reinstated as decision against constitutional norms'

The Supreme Court has concluded that the decision of the Prime Minister to dissolve the House of Representatives was against the fundamental norms, values and standards of the Constitution. "The decision taken to dissolve the HoR lacks the certain pre-condition envisaged by the Constitution and is against the fundamental norms and values of the Constitution, hence the House of Representatives has to be reinstated," reads the verdict announced by the Constitutional Bench of the apex court today.
