Jajarkot, Feb 24: Chunichande Rural Municipality has provided financial assistances to over 588 newly mothers in the rural municipality. As part of the 'vice chair with new mothers', each newly mother has received a total of Rs 2,500 in financial assistances to purchase chicken meat, mustard oil and clothes for the new baby, said officiating chair of the rural municipality Shiva Acharya.
For the programme, the rural municipality set aside Rs 1.4 million in the fiscal year, 2019/20. The programme aims to keep maintain good health of the newly mother and baby, said Acharya, adding that the programme continues the current fiscal year, 2020/21. The rural municipality has launched various programmes targeting health and nutrition of women and children.
