Holi festival fosters national unity: Tourism Minister Dhakal  

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal expressed hope that the Holi festival, also called the Fagu Poornima, would foster mutual harmony and intimacy among the people in Nepali society.

Religious and cultural diversity our identity: CM Poudel  

Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Dormani Poudel has said that religious and cultural diversity is the identity of the Nepalis. In a message today on the occasion of Fagu Poornima, Chief Minister Poudel has said that this festival that is observed by smearing colours with a spirit of love, goodwill and fraternity also connects the hills to the tarai, while uniting the nation together.    

TAC playing Kyrgyzstan, free entry at Dasarath stadium   

The Tribhuvan Army Club is playing against the visiting football team of Kyrgystan in a friendly match to be held at Dasarath football stadium today.     The U-23 team of Kyrgystan is currently in the capital to play the Three-nation cup football tournament involving hosts Nepal and Bangladesh as well. Kyrgyzstan has failed to qualify, as hosts Nepal will face Bangladesh in the final to be held on Monday. 

Adverse weather affects TIA services   

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) services have been affected for the past two days due to low visibility caused by adverse weather. According to TIA office, both domestic and international flight schedules have been hampered because of a weather issue.

Doti issues health alerts for Covid-19  

All the nine local levels in Doti, a district in the Far-West Province are on alert following the rising coronavirus cases in neighbouring India. The district people who went to India for jobs have started returning home with the increasing infections rate there. It is said presently India is battling a second wave of coronavirus.

Thick haze is seen in the Kathmandu Valley as the pollutants' particles have accumulated in the atmosphere due to the forest fires in most of the districts of the country in recent days.

Mental health training imparted to workers of mountaineering sector   

The training was organised at joint coordination of Foreign Employment and Welfare Department, Women and Youth Department and Health Committee under the Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) where 39 workers associated with mountaineering association had participated.
