NC expresses sorrow over Manandhar's demise   

Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party has extended sorrow over demise of senior communist leader Bishnu Bahadur Manandhar. Manandhar passed away on March 29 while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital, Lalitpur.    

Viral fever grips locals in Baitadi   

The District Hospital and other majority of the health facilities have been receiving increasing number of viral fever patients lately. Apart from viral fever, the health facilities were also attending to patients suffering from diarrhoea patients according to District Hospital, Baitadi Chief Basantaraj Joshi.

Man murdered in Itahari

A man was murdered cold-bloodedly in Sunsari district on Monday. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Sunsari Nagendra Karki said that Keshav Karki of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-2 was killed after piercing his body by a metal rod while he was sleeping.  

Beni-Jomsom highway to resume after two days 

A meeting of the stakeholders held on Monday in the District Administration Office, Mustang, took a decision to close the road section till April 1 to carry out the road expansion and upgradation jobs by the use of explosive substances. The road section is closed since March 27.

Youth held with 7 kgs marijuana   

A youth from Belaka Municipality-8 in Udayapur district was held for illegally possessing seven kilograms marijuana.
