Three killed due to flood, landslide  

Three people have died and two have gone missing due to the flood and landslide in various parts of Darchula district.     The flooding and landslip occurred following incessant rain on Sunday night has damaged the physical infrastructures as well as human casualties in various places of Duhun rural municipality and Mahakali municipality.    

Landslip blocks Palpa-Butwal road since 24 hours  

The Palpa-Butwal road section under the Siddhartha Highway has been blocked by a landslide at Tallo Dumre in Tansen Municipality-8 in Palpa district.    

Monsoon weakening   

The monsoon low pressure trough that was close to the eastern Tarai region has started to exit from Nepal from today, leading to the gradual fizzling out of the monsoon, said Raju Pradhananga, meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
