The border monitoring team of the Ministry of Home Affairs deployed to study the Nepal-China border issue has reached Hilsa in Humla after visiting a border pillar at Limi Lapcha area in the district.

Jhapa to have 500-bed hospital 

Construction of a 500-bed hospital at Kamal Rural Municipality in Jhapa district has been started aimed at ensuring accessible health care to the people there. The hospital Management has planned to bring Bhrikuti Hospital into operation within a year.   

Pathibhara temple reopens 

The Pathibhara temple in Taplejung district which remained closed to devotees for the past five months has reopened for devotees from today. The temple was closed citing fear of the COVID-19 spread.   

Employees’ protest hampers NAC services 

Employees at the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the national flag carrier of the country, have been up in arms for more than two months heavily affecting its administrative work, said NAC's officials. The agitating employees have put forth a four-point demand.

Nepal Telecom (NT) has reached the entire 85 local levels in Gandaki Province with its 4G internet service. Speaking at a press meet here today, Company joint-spokesperson Ranjit Lohiya said the local levels in the Province have 503 4G towers.

French govt. provides additional health equipment to combat COVID-19 crisis in Nepal

In order to combat the Covid-19 crisis in Nepal, the French Government (French Ministry of Foreign Affairs/Crisis and Support Centre) and IDEMIA, a global leader in Augmented Identity, have joined hands together to send to Nepal spare parts for oxygen plants built by a French company, NOVAIR.

A geographical study has been carried out for the development of Gadahare cave, which is under the shadow of lack of publicity. The cave is located at the border of Bhirkot municipality-8 and 9 of Syangja district.    

Overcrowded prison poses COVID-19 risks

The District Prison, Baitadi houses three-fold more prisoners than its capacity of accommodating 25 people. This has increased COVID-19 risks, said the jail administration.
