CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has urged the government to set up an agriculture assistance fund for providing relief assistance to flood and landslide-affected farmers.  

Two children buried to death in rainfall-triggered mudslide in Dharan   

A mudslide triggered by incessant rainfalls has buried two children of Dharan-13 Nageshwor Marga. They were buried to death at around 2 pm on Tuesday afternoon after a mudslide enveloped the one-story house.

Flood, Landslide update: 48 killed, 31 missing   

48 people have lost their lives till this afternoon due to landslides, floods and inundations following heavy rainfall at different places of the country. Similarly, 31 persons have gone missing in the incident of natural disasters in various districts.

Unseasonal rain claims 10 in Sudurpaschim 

As many as 10 persons have so far lost their lives in the incidents of natural disaster occurred in Sudurpaschim province with incessant rain.     Among those killed in the landslide incidents are Ashish Kunjeda, 11, Sagar Kunjeda, 14, Jogi Sarki, 63, Sher Bahadur BK, 42, Mohan BK, 13-year-old Pabitra BK, Rabin BK, 16 and 36-year-old Mandhara Balayar of Doti.
