Gold price hits 91,300 per tola 

The price of hallmark gold has been fixed at Rs 91,300 per tola (equivalent to 11.66 grams) in the domestic market today. Prior to Dashain festival, the yellow metal was traded at Rs 90,600 per tola last Monday (October 11).    

Bhimdatta Highway obstructed by landslide   

The Bhimdatta Highway that links seven hilly districts has been obstructed by a rainfall-induced landslide at Bhasu cliff. Despite efforts to clear debris, continuous rain has affected repair work, said the Far West Province Police Office. A dozer is at work to clear debris since early morning today, it said.

131 roads partially operational 

One hundred and thirty one roads which were obstructed due to flood or landslide during the monsoon period have not yet fully come into operation.     The Department of Roads has said these roads would be repaired so as to operate two-way traffic in the coming days.
