Investigation demanded on damage of access road   

Political parties and their sister organizations have demanded the investigation of the breach of blacktopped access roadway which was under construction along the Mahakali River. They demanded investigation citing the public complaint that low quality construction materials were used to build the access road.

Precious Buddha statue brought at Bhairahawa  

A precious Buddha statue to be set up at the Gautam Buddha International Airport, Bhairahawa arrived here on Thursday. The statue made up of white jade has been brought at Bhairahawa Customs Office from Myanmar via Hong Kong and Kolkata port.

President expresses sorrow over loss of life and property in disasters, stresses on collective efforts for relief  

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed her sorrow over the loss of valuable lives and property in the incidences of floods, landslides and inundation caused by the recent rains at different parts of the country. The Head-of-the-State has also extended condolences to the bereaved families.
