Dividends declared by commercial banks listed in NEPSE
Out of the total 27 commercial banks of the country, 26 listed in NEPSE have declared dividends including cash and bonus shares from the distributable profit of the fiscal year 2077/78. Some of the declared dividends have been decided by the banks after holding a general assembly and some of them are preparing for the general assembly to make the announcement.

Fire destroys property worth Rs 10.9 billion in five years
It has been found that there has been a financial loss of around Rs 10 billion due to fire in the last five years in Nepal. Similarly, a total of 206 people have lost their lives to fire, 1,334 have been injured as well as 110 people have been displaced in the last five years.

Nepal receives over 3 million doses of Covishield, Vero Cell vaccine
A total of 3,072,387 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has arrived in Nepal on Monday. According to Dr Surendra Chaurasia, chief of the Logistic Management Section under the Department of Health Services 1,870,500 doses of Covishield have arrived from India.

Qualitative rise in electricity demand, expected to reach 2K megawatts by coming mid-July
Electricity demand capacity both in terms of megawatts and energy units is found increasing. For instance, the peak demand in the system on December 13 was 1,539 megawatts whereas the peak demand on the same day last year was 1,217 megawatts – an increase of 322 megawatts. On this basis, the peak demand for electricity has increased by 26.5 per cent this year compared to the demand on the same date last year.
