Three villages sealed off in Gulmi

Residents of the villages--Rotepani, Ukhap and Ripaha--have been asked to remain indoors unless there are emergency works, said the rural municipality chair Top Bahadur Basnet. The infected woman was initially admitted to Lumbini Medical College a week ago after her RDT reports were positive. Her PCR reports were also positive, said the hospital. Her swabs were tested at a laboratory in Bhairahawa.

According to the Health Service Department under Ministry of Social Development, six persons of Salyan, two each of Surkhet and Dailekh and a person of Rukum (West) were identified with COVID-19 in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done at various laboratories of Surkhet and Dang.

Eight new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Kathmandu Valley in last 24 hours

Seven women in Bhaktapur and one woman in Kathmandu were found infected with the virus in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry at the daily press briefing today. Earlier, on June 15, MoHP had confirmed five new cases while six new cases were reported on June 18 in Valley.

In Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done at Rupandehi State Public Health Laboratory, 48 people tested positive for the virus, informed Pashupati Acharya, Information Officer of Gulmi Health Office.

Woman who died from COVID-19 cremated with due respect

The woman had tested positive for COVID-19. Her body was buried on Thursday at the jungle near Dhakeri of Banke. On the occasion, Chief District Officer of Banke, Ram Bahadur Kurumbang and chief of Bhairab Prasad Battalion of Nepali Army, Nakul Thapa, were present.

Six new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Kathmandu today

Spokesperson of Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said at the daily press briefing that of the six, three persons including a woman are from Bhaktapur, two, a male and another female, from Kathmandu and one from Lalitpur. Earlier,  on June 15, MoHP had confirmed five new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
