By Tilachan Pandey, Tamghas, June 19: Gulmi has recorded 48 new COVID-19 cases on Friday itself.
In Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done at Rupandehi State Public Health Laboratory, 48 people tested positive for the virus, informed Pashupati Acharya, Information Officer of Gulmi Health Office.
With this, the district COVID-19 caseload has hit 154.
“20 people of Dhurkot Rural Municipality, 14 of Gulmi Durbar Rural Municipality, 12 of Ishma Rural Municipality and two of Malika Rural Municipality were detected with the virus infection,” said Acharya.
He said that the new COVID-19 patients belonged to age group from 16-59. All of them had returned to Nepal from India.
Until now, two persons of Gulmi have succumbed to the virus and four have recovered.
