Kathmandu, Mar. 7: Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota welcomed the parliamentarians attending the first meeting of the seventh session of the restored HoR on Sunday. He also thanked all sectors and the Supreme Court for their contributions to restore the lower house that was dissolved by incumbent Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The meeting began on Sunday.
"I am indebted to the respectable apex court. People's faith on the court, the final interpreter of the constitution, has increased," he said.
Along with February 23 when the court restored the lower house, this day when the first meeting of the HoR has taken place after its restoration will go down in history, he said.
"Envisioning the full term and stability of the HoR has been implemented and established with its restoration by the respectable court," Speaker Sapkota stated.
