Rukum Purba, Mar. 12: The trial for rafting in the Sanibheri river has become successful. Culture and Tourism Development Centre had conducted the feasibility study for rafting in the river with the financial support of Sisne rural municipality.
The trial for rafting had been started from Baluwa at Sisne rural municipality-6 and it concluded upon reaching Sanchaur at ward number 7 of the rural municipality, Centre president, Pahal Singh Ghartimagar, said.
He said the feasibility study and the trial related to white water rafting in the Sanibheri river has been successful. It is said operation of rafting in this river would help promote adventure tourism in the area.
Chair of Sisne rural municipality, Kumari Baral, said the rural municipality would forward the necessary process for the regular operation of rafting once the trial and feasibility study report is available.
According to the rafting operators, rafting can be done in the Sanibheri river throughout the year.
