Kathmandu, June 5: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has discussed with the people’s representatives of the local levels about the measures of COVID-19 prevention and control.
During the meeting held at Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, discussions were held about the problems local levels were facing as development of quarantine facilities, condition of health materials, budget of the upcoming fiscal year 2077/078 and other related issues, Chairman of National Association of Rural Municipality, Nepal Homnarayan Shrestha said.
On the occasion, PM Oli praised the roles of the local levels played for prevention and control of coronavirus and added that results could be achieved if all three-layer of governments worked in tandem.
It is said that the PM also solicited recommendations about the problems of local levels for the control of COVID-19.
Chairman of Nepal Municipality Association Ashok Byanju shared that PM Oli was of the view that the virus will be contained soon based on the proactive roles of the local governments.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokhrel, Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal and others were also present on the occasion.
