Kathmandu, Dec. 8: The Supreme Court has termed the decision of the government to allow plotting of arable land as illegal. A joint bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana and justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma handed down the decision in this regard today.
The decision was announced in response to a writ filed by advocate Santosh Bhandari, among others, calling for an order to stop the government's decision on land plotting. The court has already issued a temporary interim order to not implement its decision on September 14.
