Taplejung, April 19 : Nepali Congress (NC) central member Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said there was no alternative to NC to steer the country to stability and development.
Accusing the communist government with almost two-third majority in the parliament of being failure to address the aspiration of the country and the people, he said the NC should take initiative to safeguard the constitution and democracy.
At an interaction organized by NC Taplejung on Sunday, he termed the incumbent government as the corrupt and incompetent in the history.
The recent political development is a big threat to the constitution and democracy in Nepal, he argued, adding NC was cautiously moving to that end.
The responsibility has come to the NC to protect the country from crisis, he said, adding the party has taken proactive role to form the government on own leadership or enable environment to go for fresh mandate.
