Kalaiya, March 8: Police here have arrested a culprit involved in murder of journalist Birendra Sah after 12 years. Bara Police on Saturday held Narendra Phaujdar aka Kundan Phaujdar from Gadhal of Baragadhi rural municiplaity-6, said Superintendent of Police Krishna Pangeni.
Journalist Sah was abducted on 5 October 2007 as he was on the way to Pipara from Kalaiya. His dead body was found after 35 days in the forest near Tangiya settlement.
According to police, culprits involved in murder were Hareram Patel, Lal Bahadur Chaudhary, Ramabal Sahani and Mainejar Giri including Phaujdar. Giri has been released after completing jail term while others are still absconding.
