Kathmandu, Nov. 24: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said schools should be linked to industrial skills.
Addressing the national Council of All Nepal Unified Teachers Association on Wednesday, Minister Sharma viewed students could be oriented on agriculture, farms as well as garden. Educated human resources help increase production, he added.
The Minister further stated that community capital would be created by focusing the industrial activities in school, which he argued would be the basis of socialism.
"Now, we have to establish mega schools, focusing technological education. Physical infrastructures should be constructed where thousands of students can be taught at the same place,” he mentioned.
Also the standing committee member of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Minister Sharma said that the party did a blunder by giving up the 'prachandapath'. "We decided to give up 'prachandapath' while coming in the peace process. It was our blunder", Minister Sharma regretted.
