By Birat Anupam, Itahari, July 29: The State-1 has recorded first death of a local today due to Corona Virus. A 45-year-old patient from Biratnagar breathed his last at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
The patient died at 4:45 pm today, said spokesperson of the BPKIHS Dr. Nidesh Sapkota. Sapkota said the deceased was referred to the BPKIHS from the COVID Hospital in Biratnagar and was on ventilator support in course of treatment.
Previously, there were two pandemic deaths at the BPKIHS. However, both were from State-2. A 73-year-old patient from Saptari and 63-year-old patient from Mahottari died of COVID-19 at the hospital. They had been hospitalized on July 15 and 16 respectively and died a day after. (RSS)
