Kathmandu, Mar. 25: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has stressed the need for consensus and collaboration among political parties.
At a foundation stone laying programme of an administrative building of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chair Prachanda shared that this situation would not have come if political parties had headed alone.
Saying the constitution was promulgated through the collaboration of political parties, the former Prime Minister argued that the establishment of peace, the promulgation of the constitution was not possible without political parties' collaboration and consensus.
He said, "Some of our friends in the context of the alliance have been saying that the party should not make an alliance in local polls and we are ready for this if they want it."
Similarly, Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Renu Dahal, Deputy Mayor Parbati Shah Thakuri, Chief Executive Officer, Ram Bandhu Subedi, briefed about the development construction activities carried out by the metropolis.
The Metropolitan City has announced a tender for the construction of the building at a cost of Rs 943.2 million.
