By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 4: The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed today three new positive cases of COVID-19.
21 years old man of Kailali, who had returned from Mumbai, 41 years old woman of Kanchanpur who had returned from Uttarakhand, India, and a 34 years old woman of Kailali, were tested positive for the virus, National News Agency (RSS) quoted Dr. Bashudev Pandey, Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under Ministry of Health and Population, as saying.
The 34 years old woman of Kailali is said to be relative of fourth COVID-19 patient of Dhangadi. This is the first case of local transmission of COVID-19 in Nepal.
With this, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 has reached nine in the country.
All three patients are receiving treatment at the Far-Western Provincial Hospital, said Dr. Pandey.
