The Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) has provided 100 solar home system components to the victims of the Lidi landslide at Jugal rural municipality-2 in Sindhupalchok district.

Obstructed Aanbukhaireni-Muglin road resumes partially

Aanbukhaireni-Muglin road under the Prithvi Highway affected by a dry landslide has resumed one-way after over an hour.     It would take around two hours for the full resumption of the road, said Inspector Bikash Thapa at the Area Police Office, Aanbukhaireni.    

Coronavirus-infected dies in Madhyapurthimi, Citizen Hospital closed for two days  

A woman has died of coronavirus infection in Bhaktapur. The 62-year-old woman, who was taken to the Citizen Community Hospital based in Madhyapurthimi municipality-3, Gaththaghar for treatment, breathed her last, confirmed Chief District Officer Humkala Pandey.    

Memorial gate in honour of the late mayor Sharma 

A memorial gate has been constructed in honour of former mayor of Baglung municipality the late Rishiram Sharma. The municipality has constructed ‘Rishiram Sharma Memorial Gate’ in recognition of its first mayor the late Sharma’s substantial contributions with efficiency and vision to develop a foundation and framework of development of the municipality. 

COVID-19 focal person designated

A 12th grade officer at the Ministry, Shrestha was leading the COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CMCC) on behalf of the Ministry. He has also served as the Director General of the Department of Health Services and as the spokesperson of the Ministry.

High fever claims three lives 

Three persons with the symptoms of high fever died in Mahakali Municipality, Kanchanpur.     The deceased are Puja Bogati, 13, Gambhir Bhandari, 65, and Prem Bahadur Chand, 21, according to the Municipality’s Health Section.

Preparation afoot to build hospital in 39 local units in Karnali 

Each local unit will have five to 15 bed hospitals, according to Minister for Health and Population in the Karnali State government, Nawaraj Rawat.    

Narayangarh-Muglin road section blocked   

The Narayangarh-Muglin road section has been again disrupted due to dry landslide. According to the Area Police Office Muglin, the two way road traffic along the Narayangarh-Muglin road has been disrupted after dry landslide occurred at Ichhakamana rural municipality-6, Duikilo nearby Muglin at around 7.00 this morning.

     Manang health office chief contracts coronavirus infection, district hospital sealed off  

Two additional coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Manang. Chief District Officer Dhruba Giri shared that the chief of the Manang Health Office, a local of Chapakot, Syangja, was diagnosed with the virus.    

Land lease agreement signed for mission in Oman

Ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal and Secretary, Administration and Financial, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate, Mohamed bin Nasser bin Mohamed Al Wahaibi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments at a function held in Oman today.∙ As per the agreement, the Nepal embassy is slotted a plot of 4100 sqm in the diplomatic area for the aforementioned purpose, according to the Embassy of Nepal.

Ending week-long seal off, Syangja Hospital resumes services   

The hospital’s entire services were closed for a week after a jailbird of the district prison house, who was receiving treatment there, tested positive for the virus.  

One killed due to landslide 

Nineteen-year-old Puja Pariyar, daughter of Prakash Pariyar, died in the incident occurred at 1 am today at Arnak, Dhorpatan Municipality-2, the District Police Office Baglung said. The landslide buried the house.  

Relief distribution to families of the deceased   

Relief distribution was made to the landslide victim families in Dilashaini rural municipality. Relief and compensation was provided to Aiete Bohora of Dilashaini-4, Balalli who lost his family members to the landslide.    

  Mortuary van handed to municipality  

The Damauli Chamber of Commerce and Industry handed over a mortuary van to Byas municipality. The Damauli Chamber has been operating the mortuary van for the past one year.
