A total of seven settlements in Phalewas Municipality in the district are in high risk of landslides. Local authority has recommended to shifting the settlements to safer zone after geographical assessment.

COVID-19 infected man dies in Saptari 

A COVID-19 infected man died in the district today. The 35-year-old of Khadak municipality-3 died at Dharan-based B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), said acting office chief at the health office Duniya Lal Yadav.

  Beni-Jomsom road obstructed 

The Beni-Jomsom road that connects the trans-Himalayan district Mustang to the national road network has been obstructed after flood and landslide swept away sections of the road. About 200 metres of the road has been swept away by the flood in the local Rupse Khola rivulet at Annapurna rural municipality-3 of the district.

The traffic along the road section has been obstructed after many landslides occurred at several places since last night.     Massive landslides have occurred at Bhaludhunga, Charkilo, Panchkilo and Ghumaune area.
