Along with hitting people's lives hard, the ongoing nationwide lockdown imposed by the government to check the spread of COVID-19 has made it difficult for street dogs to survive. As the street dogs used to depend upon food given by locals, prohibition on people to step out of their houses has led the street dogs starve to death.

COVID-19 cases in Nepal reach 109 with 7 new cases today

Share Market to open for 2 hours from Tuesday

The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) said on Friday that the share market would resume operation from May 12, Tuesday after remaining shut for about seven weeks. Spokesperson of the board Niraj Giri said that the decision was made as per the Cabinet decision on Wednesday, and following a discussion with the stakeholder organisations – Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), CDS and Clearing, merchant bankers, broker agencies and depository participants.

47 Chinese nationals detained for protesting in restricted zone

The police have detained 47 Chinese nationals gathered in front of the prohibited zone in Singha Durbar, the main administrative hub of the government. They began a sit-in protest demanding to send them back to their country on Friday.
