Kathmandu, May 10: Two sister organisations of the Nepali Congress on Saturday condemned Indian interfere into the sovereignty of Nepal.
In their separate statements, Nepal Tarun Dal and Nepal Student Union protested against boarder encroachment and unilateral construction of road by India.
The organizations said that interference into their national sovereignty from any country would not be tolerable to sovereign Nepali citizens. The Tarun Dal in its statement condemned the Indian act of construction and operation of road to reach Kailash Mansorabar, in the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China, via Nepali land Lipu Lekh.
The statement read the act had wounded the soul of the Nepali people.
The Dal in its statement blamed that the government was not making enough efforts to resolve the problem through diplomatic channel. It drew the attention of the government to take immediate step to safeguard the Nepali land.
Nepal Student Union in its statement also urged the government to protest against the Indian role of encroachment of Nepali territory.
The NSU said it was condemnable for India to build a road in the Nepali territory, adding earlier it had incorporated Nepali land of Kalapani, Lipu Lekh and Limpiyadhura in its map.The NSU also expressed surprise over the government’s role even as India encroached the Nepali land.The Union demanded immediate view of the government about the matter.
The NSU statement urged the government to stop Indian transgression through high-level diplomatic initiative.
