NC to vote for statute amendment

A Central Working Committee meeting of Nepal Congress on Saturday discussed the proposal relating to vote in favour of the Constitution amendment proposal that the government has registered in the parliament to amend the coat of arms validating the new map of Nepal issued incorporating the Nepali territory of Lipulek, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura.

Govt will mobilise Rs. 60 billion to revive economy: FM

Finance Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has said that the government would mobilise about Rs. 60 billion in relief being offered to the business and industries. "The relief will be provided in the forms of cash, subsidy, tax and fine discounts and concessional loans and the cumulative amount would reach Rs. 60 billion," he said in the post-budget interaction with journalists at the Ministry of Finance Friday afternoon.

Army HQ refutes Indian media reports

Nepali Army has refuted two separate news commentaries published in separate Indian media. Issuing a press note on Thursday late night, the Nepali Army Headquarters said its serious attention was drawn to the misleading media reports. “The commentaries were nothing other than a lengthy write up, woven with lies and innuendos,” it said.
