By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 30: The government has decided to extend the ongoing nationwide lockdown by 12 days, till June 14.
Considering the increasing threat of COVID-19, the meeting of the Council of Ministers held today at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, took a decision to this effect, said Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, Minister for Finance and Communications and Information Technology who is also spokesperson of the government.
Moreover, the government has also decided to halt international flights and border until June 30.
The ongoing lockdown was supposed to end on June 2.
The current COVID-19 tally of Nepal is 1,401 including 216 cases of recovery and seven death cases.
