Private companies can now import COVID-19 vaccines

Four dead in jeep accident in Sindhuli, seven injured

The injured have been undergoing treatment in hospitals in Sindhuli and Dhulikehl. The jeep with registration no. Ba 17 Cha 1117 veered off the road some 50 meters down, according to the police. Of the injured, two are in critical conditions, according to Manoj Kumar Lama, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the district police office, Sindhuli.

70% of target population vaccinated: MoHP

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said that total 70 per cent of the targeted people have been vaccinated in Nepal until now.

President Bhandari to visit Bangladesh from March 22-23

President Bidya Devi Bhandari is paying a two-day State visit to Bangladesh from March 22 to 23 at the friendly invitation of President of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid. Issuing a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) informed that the Nepali delegation accompanying the President will consist of Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and secretaries and senior officials of the ministry, the Office of the President and other relevant ministries.

Finance Ministry issues budget guidelines

The Ministry of Finance has urged the ministries not to propose any project costing higher than Rs. 500 million, which are not included in the National Project Bank. Publishing the main guidelines for the budget of the next Fiscal Year 2021/22, Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel has asked the ministries to make sure that the medium and large projects must be included in the NPB maintained by the National Planning Commission.

President Bhandari calls all-party meeting today

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called an all-party meeting at 4:00 pm on Tuesday. According to Dr Bheshraj Adhikari, chief personal secretary of the President, the President has invited leaders of the various political parties represented in the federal parliament.

Frontline workers eagerly wait for second dose of COVID-19 vaccine

The government began the first phase of COVID-19 vaccination drive on January 27. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, around 184,900 frontline health workers, journalists, public service staff, and bank employees had received the vaccine in the first phase. While the second phase of inoculation is underway where the senior citizens are getting vaccinated, the frontline workers who got vaccinated during the first phase are looking forward to receiving the second dose.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has taken first shot of vaccine against COVID-19. The president visited TU Teaching Hospital today to get vaccinated, according to the office of the President.
