SC refers case on removal of four JSP-N provincial assembly members to full bench

The case relating to the removal of Lumbini Provincial Assembly members of the Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal (JSP-N) has been sent to the full bench of the Supreme Court (SC).

In this regard, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, said that the expenditure procedure slowed down as it came under the double trap of lock down enforced to curb spread of COVID-19. Even after three months, 1.4 million elderlies above 65 yet to get second jab 

Dr. Shyam Raj Upreti, coordinator for the COVID-19 vaccine advisory committee, said the inoculation of the second jab of the Covishield vaccine is between 6 to 12 weeks. “It has been almost three months since elderly citizens above 65 received their first dose. The immunity provided by the first dose will gradually begin to wear off after three months,” Dr. Upreti said. 

Unified policy in the offing to protect nomadic Raute community

Yagya Bahadur BC, social development minister of the province, said that as the endangered Raute community is a separate community with distinct culture and tradition, it was the duty of the state to protect them and for this a unified policy for their preservation was necessary.
