Two Chinese tourists rescued and kept in quarantine 

Two foreign visitors have been rescued from Ghodepani of Annapurna rural municipality of the district on Friday. They had come on a tour in the area and stuck due to the lockdown enforced by the government to prevent COVID-19.    

  State governments urged to invest 20 per cent of their budget in agriculture   

Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ghanashyam Bhusal and the ministers for agriculture, land and cooperatives of all seven State governments have decided to coordinate with all the related agencies for addressing the problems created in the agriculture and livestock sector due to the lockdown.    

COVID-19 Prevention and Treatment Fund has over Rs 2.7 billion so far 

The COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment Fund has Rs 2 billion 74 million 638 thousand 980 so far. The Fund was set up by the government to fight against coronavirus pandemic. An amount of Rs 25 million 827 thousand 194 has been deposited in the Fund on Friday.

The court ordered imprisonment of Bijaya Chaudhary from Bairatpur and Shankar Sarkar from Naheti, India after they failed to deposit bail amount of Rs 1.7 million each.
