PM congratulates Kailali youth for beating COVID-19  

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed happiness with a 21-year-old youth from Kailali returning home after successful treatment of coronavirus.

A COVID-19 emergency service centre has been set up in the Sudur Paschim State for response, rescue, coordination and facilitating in the treatment, control and management of coronavirus pandemic.

Vegetable farmers in Bhojpur have been badly affected by the lockdown implemented against coronavirus pandemic. They have found no way to transporting the produces to the market.

 Social distancing and frequent hand-washing are highly recommended as the effective measures against the spread of COVID-19. But, experts stress that sufficient clean water is needed to wash hands to be safe from the infection.

The Lumbini Bouddha University began teaching- learning activities via internet today.     Since all the schools and universities have remained closed due to ongoing lockdown enforced by the government to contain the outbreak of COVID-19, teaching-learning activities in those institutions, including this university, were halted.

Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj has begun testing coronavirus today with the installation of real timer polymer chain reaction (RTPCR) machine on Saturday.  

18 Maldivians flown to Dhaka by Nepal Airlines 

Nepal Airlines has flown altogether 18 Maldivians stranded in Nepal to Bangladeshi capital Dhaka today.     The narrow body A320 airplane flew to Dhaka from the only international airport in the country- Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), according to the TIA Managing Director Devendra KC.
