Religious centres in Godavari monitored 

Godavari municipality people's representatives made an inspection of various religious centres in the municipality, in wake of possible spread of Corona Virus. The inspection was also aimed at checking whether those centres are following social distancing or if they were providing shelter to outsiders.

A medical team has arrived at the Bheri hospital to make necessary arrangement to being COVID-19 testing.

Belahiya checkpoint calm after lockdown

The office is based in Siddharthanagar municipality-1 and with the closure of the checkpoint, daily wage earners whose livelihood was dependent on border-based activities are out of work. The office employees are also in leisure these days.    

Poultry farmers worried over dwindling business  

 The poultry farmers here have been worrying over the decline in business with the enforcement of lockdown in the wake of escalating risk of COVID-19. There is no market for the sale of eggs produced in the farms.

Dolakha police using local tool as man catchers 

The District Police Office here has used locally manufactured man catcher as personal protection equipment (PPE) in the wake of coronavirus menace.

Over 23,000 go medical screening for COVID-19 in Lamjung  

Over 23 thousand people underwent medical checkup at several medical help desks set up in different parts of the district in view of the increased risk of coronavirus spreading globally.  

State 5 govt to facilitate people's travel back to home during lockdown  

The State 5 government has started facilitating those heading to home on foot during the nationwide lockdown.     The government decided to help them reach home with the availability of required food on the way upon realising that a growing flow of pedestrians desperate to go home during lockdown increased risk of the COVID-19.    

Relief materials distributed to 76 households in Manang   

Relief materials have been distributed to the locals of Nisyang rural municipality in the district.     According to rural municipality chair Kanchha Ghale, 76 households were provided relief package so that they would not suffer from food shortage during the ongoing lockdown.    

Expectant mother rescued by helicopter  

A pregnant woman in Mugu was rescued by a helicopter on Friday.     Mamata Lawad of Soru rural municipality-1, Mugu, who was tested positive for the Hepatitis 'B was airlifted to the Surkhet-based Karnali State Hospital after her C-section surgery was not possible in the Mugu District Hospital.

Shortage of COVID-19 test kits in Salyan  

The shortage of COVID-19 test kits here has resulted in postponement of coronavirus test in the district.      According to Dr Arjun Kumar Budha, chief of District Health Office, the coronavirus tests on suspected people have halted after all kits provided by the State government were already finished.
