Myagdi, April 18 : Two foreign visitors have been rescued from Ghodepani of Annapurna rural municipality of the district on Friday. They had come on a tour in the area and stuck due to the lockdown enforced by the government to prevent COVID-19.
Police personnel from Ghodepani Tourist Police post rescued the two Chinese visitors - a woman and a man. The local hotel entrepreneurs had handed over the visitors, who had come during the lockdown, to the police on Thursday. They have been identified as Gushang Hun (male) with passport number P04043952 and Sunfin Liang (female) bearing passport G51535576, police said. It is said they had entered Pokhara on March 10 and arrived Ghodepani via Ghandruk.
They have been kept in the quarantine facility at the Sarbodaya Secondary School at Bhurung Tatopani. According to Police, the Chinese tourists would be handed over to the Embassy of China in Kathmandu.
Two Chinese tourists were rescued from Beg of Annapurna rural municipality and one South Korean tourist from Gufa of Beni Municipality-6 before this.
