NOC faces staggering monthly loss of Rs 4.5 billion 

The state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation is currently facing a record-high loss with the rise in the price of petroleum products at international market.     NOC’s estimated loss has not been levelled up despite price adjustment of petro products at domestic market. ‘Continuous price hike of petroleum products at global market and rise in the exchange rate of the US Dollars have added challenge to the NOC in reducing losses’, shared its spokesperson Binitmani Upadhyay.   

35 days in-service training on office operation and management concludes   

A thirty-five day in-service training for employees of Lumbini province government on ‘office operation and management’ concluded in Nepalgunj on Tuesday.     The Province Training Academy Nepalgunj, Banke that is also serving as the Provincial Centre for Good Governance (PCCG), imparted the in-service entry training from 28 December 2021 through 31 January 2022 in a physical mode.

Finance Minister presses for intensifying capital expenditure

Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said that it would not good to always press the Finance Secretary for ramping up capital expenditure. He said this during a review meeting on the capital expenditure so far in the current fiscal year.

Army given responsibility of constructing road track in Darchula

Government decides to accept USD 150 million concessional loan from WB

The government has decided to accept the concessional loan amounting to USD 150 million from the World Bank. A talks team has been formed to proceed ahead the loan procuring process to be provided to Nepal under the ‘Finance for Growth Development Policy Credit’.
