Damauli hospital based in the district headquarters of Tanahun is struggling to provide with treatment to snakebite patients in lack of antivenom.    

Three new COVID-19 patients taken to Bharatpur Corona Special Hospital   

Three people who tested positive for the novel coronavirus during the tests conducted at the Bharatpur COVID-19 laboratory have been taken to the Bharatpur Corona Special (provisional) Hospital. 

Army unit stationed at Ghantibagar of Darchula   

Nepal Army has deployed a 'section plus' unit near Ghantibagar area of Darchula district. The government had on April 26 decided to give the responsibility to the Army to construct 87 kilometres road section under the Mahakali corridor (Darchula Tinkar Road Project).    

China aids security screening equipment 

The Chinese government has handed over necessary equipment aiming to ease security screening process at Rasuwagadhi check point.    

Hotels and resorts to be used for quarantine

Hotels and resorts are to be used as quarantine facilities for accommodating citizens to be brought from abroad.     Minister of State Rambir Manandhar, in a discussions held at the Ministry of Urban Development on Thursday, shared that necessary consultations have begun for managing as quarantine the hotels and resorts operating in systematic manner throughout the country. 

Bridge construction continues on highway  

Construction works are continued on three new concrete bridges on Rasuwa section of Galchhi-Mailung-Rasuwagadhi highway. The construction works are being carried out by following the policy and standards for prevention and control of COVID-19.    

KAHS starts specialist service by phone  

The Karnali Academy of Health Science (KAHS) has started providing the outpatient specialist service by phone to reduce crowding at its hospital. This service has been initiated to facilitate the treatment service with the growing risk of coronavirus infection.

Sudurpaschim State Assembly to convene on May 26  

The Sudurpaschim State will convene its sixth session which is the budget session from May 26.     Speaker of the Assembly Arjun Bahadur Thapa said the budget session would be held adopting necessary health safety standard. The session will hold pre-budget discussions as well as deliberate on the principles and priorities of the budget and the policy and programme of the State government.    

  Shankharapur to seal off all transit points after 12 people found COVID-19 positive in RDT  

All the transit points to Shankharapur municipality are to be sealed off from today after 12 people tested positive to the novel coronavirus.
