Seven Gandaki State ministers including CM Gurung test negative for COVID-19  

Gandaki State Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung and other ministers have tested negative for coronavirus.     As said by Health Directorate at State, the Chief Ministers, ministers, secretaries and government employees: a total of 146 people on Tuesday had given swab samples to conduct the PCR tests for COVID-19 in view of the State Assembly meeting summoned for May 24. All the test results are negative.

Two thousand 755 people have tested negative for coronavirus. The throat and nasal swabs collected on different dates from these people were tested at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS).

Two journalists in the district are obliged to stay in the quarantines of their media houses as the concerned local governments paid no heed for long even after they tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Nine individuals are infected with the virus in the district.

NA disposes dead body of COVID-19 infected person in jungle

The meeting of the Hospital management, Nepal Police, Nepal Army and local people’s representatives took the decision to dispose the dead body in a jungle in the eastward from Butwal, according to the District Administration Office, Gulmi.    

People in contact with Gulmi's COVID-19 deceased test negative

Altogether 36 persons from Madane Rural Municipality of Gulmi district were put to test after contract tracing. The report of 25 persons have come negative while the report of remaining 11 is awaited, informed District Health Office, Gulmi’s Information Officer Pashupati Acharya.  

Jumla on high alert against COVID-19

All eight local levels in the district have been on high alert against the infection, said Ratan Nath Yogi, chair of Tila rural municipality. Setting up of a quarantine area at Karnali Technical School is underway, he said.
