Third-phase chartered flights schedule begins today

Two domestic airlines companies; the state-owned Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and the private Himalaya Airlines and some others international airlines are joining the third-phase operation of flight to several destinations for a week to pick up Nepali citizens.    

More than half budget of Prime Minister Agriculture Project remains unspent in Jhapa 

Like other sectors of the economy, COVID-19 has adversely impacted the agriculture sector as well. More than half the budget the government sent to Jhapa district under the Prime Minister Agriculture Modernisation Project has remained unspent due to this.

NC to take lead on prosperity campaign: Leader Singh  

Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said NC can lead the prosperity campaign to bring positive change in people's life. Relief materials distributed to indigent families 

The families from marginalized community and people living with disabilities have been distributed relief materials to assuage their hardship in the wake of COVID-19 lockdown.          Thirty eight families from Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-5 and 29 from Rajbiraj Municipality-6 were provided food stuffs as rice, pulse, cooking oil, sugar, soap.    

'News on PM's bank account in Switzerland baseless'

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's Press Advisor Surya Thapa issued a press release today and refuted the news relating to PM Oli's bank account in Switzerland and money stashed there. Thapa took the stand that some online media involved in character assassination of the PM by spreading fake and baseless news referring to the Global Watch Analyses.    

Jumla sees gradual decline in malnutrition rate   

Jumla district has witnessed a gradual decline in the malnutrition rate.     According to the five-year data of the District Health Office, the malnutrition rate is decreasing in Jumla.  

Indian security obstructs mobility of Nepali at Byas in Darchula

India has obstructed the mobility of local residents to and from Kalapani area of Byas rural municipality in Darchula.      Indian security personnel now are preventing local residents from moving to the vicinity of Kalapani origin which was not blocked before.    

New police post set up at Ranighat   

A police post has been constructed at Barahatal rural municipality-2, Surkhet Ranighat at the cost of Rs 28,2 million. The police post was built with the financial assistance of the United Nations Office for Project Service.    

Fund to launch youth vocational training in integrated way in offing

The National Planning Commission has already prepared an approach paper for the establishment of the Fund. A taskforce coordinated by NPC member Dr Usha Jha had worked on the paper. The taskforce comprised joint-secretaries from several 10 ministries.
