India increases its security personnel at Kalapani area by double

Hundreds of vehicles of SSB and army personnel are now mobilized along road section from Dharchula to Lipulek every day. Locals said that India has increased surveillance through vehicles at border areas.

Corruption-related complaints rising in Karnali   

The rate of the corruption-related complaints is increasing gradually each year in the Karnali state.     According to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Surkhet, though the number of registered complaints were relatively less last fiscal year due to the four months long lockdown against coronavirus, its rate is found to be growing each year.

Mechi Hospital starts treatment for COVID-19  

The Mechi Hospital based in Bhadrapur of Jhapa district has launched test and treatment for coronavirus. The hospital, with the support of State 1 government, has already set up a 25-bed COVID-19 isolation ward and PCR laboratory. Besides, it has been provided two ventilators from the State government.    

Prohibitory order clamped in Janakpurdham   

Prohibitory order has been issued in the Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City area for a week beginning from last midnight.     Dhanusha District's chief district officer Prem Prasad Bhattarai said the prohibitory order has been enforced in view of the risk of coronavirus infection.

Twelve airlines companies approach CAAN seeking permission for international flights

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), till today, such number of airlines companies approached it formally seeking permission for the operation of international flights. They are national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation and private sector’s Himalaya Airlines from the domestic category.
