No involvement in rail contract: Federation

The Federation of Contractors' Association of Nepal has refuted its involvement in the contract process involving railways. As it is the State authorities that determined the eligibility of the proposals as per the prevalent law and procurement act, the contractors have no role and involvement in it, says a statement issued by the FCAN general secretary Roshan Dahal.

Coronavirus infected person dies   

A coronavirus infected person died in course of treatment at Corona Treatment Special Hospital, Butwal, under Lumbini Provincial Hospital this morning.     A 60-year-old person of Tilottama municipality-4 of Rupandehi died at 2:30 am, said Information Officer of the Hospital, Dr Bishnu Gautam, issuing a press release today.

Obstructed Aanbukhaireni-Muglin road resumes partially

Aanbukhaireni-Muglin road under the Prithvi Highway affected by a dry landslide has resumed one-way after over an hour.     It would take around two hours for the full resumption of the road, said Inspector Bikash Thapa at the Area Police Office, Aanbukhaireni.

Prithvi highway obstructed due to dry landslide   

The Prithvi highway has been blocked due to the occurrence of a dry landslide at Aina Pahara of Aanbu Khaireni rural municipality-2, Tanahu district. The highway is obstructed due to the deposition of the landslide debris. The dry landslide took place at 10 am today, the District Police Office Tanahu said.    

Jhapa sees another COVID-19 related death

An 83-year-old elderly person of Kamal rural municipality-3, Kerkha in Jhapa died of coronavirus infection this morning.     He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, shared Kamal rural municipality chair Menuka Kafle.

According to the Department of Rail, though the Indian team was eager to come Nepal to further the study our government is yet to grant permission for their arrival in the context when the coronavirus is taking its ground. 

Coronavirus-infected dies in Madhyapurthimi, Citizen Hospital closed for two days  

A woman has died of coronavirus infection in Bhaktapur. The 62-year-old woman, who was taken to the Citizen Community Hospital based in Madhyapurthimi municipality-3, Gaththaghar for treatment, breathed her last, confirmed Chief District Officer Humkala Pandey.
