Chief Minister Bhatta extends Gaura festival best wishes

In a message issued today by the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Chief Minister Bhatta has extended hearty best wishes for happiness, peace and prosperity of all sisters and brothers from the State living within the country and abroad on the occasion of the Gaura festival, a festival with religious and cultural importance celebrated as the unique festival of the State.

Two die from COVID-19  

A 55-year-old man of Suryabinayak municipality-8 in Bhaktapur died at Dhulikhel hospital, said the COVID-19 prevention and control command post. The deceased was suffering from heart and thyroid problems, said Dr Narendra Kumar Jha, chief of the district health office and member-secretary of the post.

PCR test at Chaurjahari not working, problem in test

The kit has been kept in a corner of the lab after it became useless. The Directorate had also sent extraction kit along with the PCR kit on August 19. Health Joint-Coordinator of Chaurjahari municipality, Danda Prasad Sharma, said that the kit has not been able to give result of PCR test.

Maternity Hospital to make 200 isolation beds

As per the directive of the Ministry of Health and Population, the hospital is developing separate beds in its Kupandole-based building targeting the coronavirus infected ones.
