Ranjha, Aug 26 : A 37-year-old man of Nepalgunj sub-metropolis died of coronavirus infection in Banke last night.
He was admitted to the Teaching Hospital Nepalgunj after diagnosed with pneumonia in both the lungs and breathed his last while undergoing treatment, shared Corona
Resource Person of the Health Office, Naresh Shrestha.
The person was admitted to the Teaching Hospital of Nepalgunj Medical College on August 24 after he complained of breathing.
He had tested positive for coronavirus yesterday afternoon.
He died at 10.30 pm last night while receiving treatment on ventilator support, Shrestha added.
Banke’s Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Kurumwang shared preparation on the management of dead body was underway in coordination with the family members of the deceased and Nepal Army.
Witht his, the death toll from coronavirus infection in Banke has reached five.
Earlier, a 25-year-old youth of Narainapur rural municipality-5, a 46-year-old woman of Baijanath rural municipality-6, a 70-year-old woman of Kohalpur municipality-2 and a 62-year-old man of Nepalgunj-5 have already lost their lives to the coronavirus.
