One killed in a tiger attack   

A man was killed in a tiger attack at Belsar Buffer Community Forest in Bharatpur metropolis-13 this morning.     According to the Chitwan National Park's Information Officer, Ashok Ram, the deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Jagadish Chaudhary.     The jungle cat attacked Chaudhary while he was on the way to collect grass in the forest at 10.15 am this morning.

     Revenue of Rs 3.25 billion collected  

Revenue amounting to Rs 3.25 billion has been collected in Dang even during the difficult time of coronavirus pandemic.     The revenue was collected through the offices under the federal, state and local governments. According to the Treasury Single Account Office, the offices have raised Rs 3.16 billion as of mid-July of the fiscal year 2019/20.    

     Two die of COVID-19 

A 63-year-old man from Hatiya of Rajbiraj Municipality died of the virus infection while receiving treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan last night. The deceased was a teacher at Mahendra Bindeshwori Multiple Campus, Rajbiraj.         

     Schools to open in Mirchaiya Municipality from tomorrow   

The schools in Mirchaiya Municipality have decided to resume regular class by maintaining adequate safety measure from tomorrow.

Weather improves today 

The weather changed significantly after the effect of westerly low pressure system for some days has witnessed improvement today. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology issued a weather bulletin and informed that there would have clear weather from this evening as the low pressure belt formed in Bihar of India has been gradually shifting to north east.    

     Karnali State Assembly postponed for two months 

The Karnali State Assembly has not held any meeting for long owing to the threat of coronavirus. It has been more than two months the Assembly has not convened since the announcement of annual budget for the current fiscal year.    

     Ward chair Kharbinda passes away  

Ward chairperson of Buddhabhumi municiplaity-10, Triloki Prasad Kharbind has passed away.     He was elected ward chairperson from the then Federal Socialist Party. Afflicted from chronic asthma, he died while undergoing treatment this morning, the family sources said.    

     Five more bodies recovered 

Five people who had gone missing since their house was buried in a landslide have been found dead. The incident took place on Thursday morning in Belauja of Rambha rural municipality-2.
