Landslides affect most of road sections in Gulmi   

Most of the road sections in the district are frequently obstructed due to landslides caused by incessant rainfall for past few days.    

Old man dies of COVID-19 in Jhapa  

An elderly person in the district has died of coronavirus infection last night. A 77-year-old man of Jhapa Rural municipality-6 died of the infection.    

Number of COVID-19 infected crosses 3,000 in Karnali   

The caseload of coronavirus infected persons has reached more than three thousand in Karnali. According to the Ministry of Social Development, the number of infected has so far reached 3,276 in the Karnali state. 

     Narayangadh-Mugling road section resumes  

Two way traffic has been resumed along the Narayangadh-Mugling Highway now. The road section at Charkilo was obstructed due to landslides occurred there last night.    

     Narayani River crosses danger mark   

The water level in the Narayani river has crossed the danger mark following the incessant rain since the last three days. It is estimated that the river level will rise further as the rain continues in areas of the origin of the river.    

     Agreement signed for commercial rubber farming 

Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation and Institute of Rubber and Jatropha Research-Nepal, USA, have signed agreement for commercial rubber farming and research.    

     Gold price drops by Rs 1,200 per tola today

The price of gold has seen gradual drop in the domestic market as the hall mark gold is being traded for Rs 93,100 per tola (11.66 grammes) while worked gold for Rs 92, 600 on Thursday.    

     Landslide leaves five dead in Waling, four still missing   

Bodies of five persons buried in the landslide occurred above Maya Nepali of Waling-14 Tamadi were retrieved at 6.00 this morning, shared Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police and police spokesperson Rajendra Prasad Adhikari. 

     Dadeldhura records first-ever COVID-19 related death  

Dadeldhura district has recorded another death related to coronavirus infection. A 48-year-old man of Nawadurga rural municipality of the district died at Dadeldhura Hospital last night.   

     Khanidanda and Thamkharka airports to operate regular flights from Saturday   

Two of the three airports of Khotang district that have remained closed for over six months due to lockdown are set to operate regular flights from coming Saturday.
