21 accusations against CJ Rana   

The lawmakers of the ruling political parties have stated 21 accusations against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana in the impeachment motion registered at the federal parliament secretariat today. A total of 98 lawmakers signed for the impeachment.  

Over 69,000 vaccinated against COVID-19 in Jumla

Nearly 85 percent of eligible people from all eight local levels of Jumla district have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Information officer at District Public Health Office Prem Bahadur Sarki shared that 69,332 persons got vaccinated against COVID-19 in the district.

Supreme Court’s senior-most justice Deepak Kumar Karki has been the Acting Chief Justice with the registration of an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumser JB Rana.

CJ relived of duties with registration of impeachment motion

With the registration of an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumser JB Rana questioning his performance, he has not been allowed to discharge the duties. The lawmakers from the ruling parties today registered the motion of impeachment against CJ Rana at the Singha Durbar-based federal parliament secretariat in accordance with Article 101 of the Constitution.

Confusion against MCC being spread: Spokesperson Dr Mahat

Betel leaf farming proving fruitful 

Commercial betel leaf farming has started for the first time in Jhapa. Farmers of Arjundhara in the district are engaged in collective betel leaf farming.     Farmer Dinbandhu Pokharel, a member of the group, said that the commercial leaf farming has been started in five kattha of land by forming Kalisthan Farmers Group.
