Historic idol missing from Balkumari Temple retrieved

Locals have celebrated the retrieval of the antique object. Metropolitan Police Range Lalitpur’s Chief Senior Superintendent of Police Yagya Binod Pokhrel confirmed that the statue was retrieved from the place near Karuna Temple at Lalitpur Metropolis-15 at 6:00 am Friday. The idol was apparently stolen from the temple on January 22 and police believed that the probable accused might have dropped it there out of fear of the arrest.

SC to resume all services from February 13

2.4 million doses of vaccine not missing, Minister Khatiwada says

Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada has said 2.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have not been missed. Organising a news conference at the Ministry of Health and Population today on his completion of 100 days as the minister, Khatiwada said the vaccines were not missing but the records of the inoculated jabs from the province, district and local levels were not received.

Five killed in Tulsipur inferno   

Five people have died due to suffocation after a house caught fire in Tulsipur last night. Those killed in the incident are 14-year-old Sajita Khatun, 14-year-old Hasan Bakas, 16-year-old Masin Bakas, 40-year-old Nardin Ali and six-year-old Abid Din Ali of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-5, the Area Police Office Tulsipur said.
