Eye camp in Saipal Rural Municipality   

An eye camp began in Saipal Rural Municipality on Saturday. In the camp, 36 persons underwent operation and medication yesterday.

Five killed in Bhadaure Bhir road accident in Okhaldhunga  

Five people including two from Okhaldhunga were killed in a road accident that took place at Bhadaure bhir, located on the border between Okhaldhunga and Udayapur.

42-year-old infected dies in Nepalgunj

A 42-year-old person has died of Corona Virus this morning. The man of Thakurbaba-6 in Bardia was undergoing treatment at the Bheri hospital, Nepalgunj. 

Six lakh rupees collected for kidney patient   

A financial support of Rs. 650,000 was received from the Nepalis living and working in US for Santosh Ranamagar of Byas municipality-14. Ranamagar has suffered a kidney failure and is currently surviving on the basis of a dialysis.    

Ban on fair and jatra during festival 

Jajarkot and Rukum west have put a ban on fairs and jatra or processions considering the rising cases of COVID-19.The Bheri municipality, Barekot executive meeting took a decision in this regard while the district disaster management committee of Rukum West put a ban on religious and festival-time fairs.    

District hospital gets PCR machine   

The compulsion of sending swab samples outside the district for COVID-19 testing is going to come to an end.This has been possible after the Madhyabindu district hospital in Kawasoti, Nawapur received a PCR testing machine.     Member of Parliament Tilak Mahat handed over the PCR machine to chairperson of the District Hospital Management Committee Gopal Khanal at a function held here on Saturday. The machine was provided by the Ministry of Health.   

Child drowns in river   

A child has died after being swept away by the Bhimgothe river in Badigad rural municipality in the district. The deceased has been identified as seven-year-old Anup, the son of Anuj KC, a resident of ward no. 7 in the rural municipality, according to deputy superintendent of police Rajendra Regmi, information officer of the District Police Office, Baglung.   

NTC installs VSAT in Simkot 

The VSAT installation means to facilitate residents of the district who were deprived of telephone service during winter, said NTC, Humla chief Shiva Prasad Bhattarai.
