Makawanpur, Oct 18 : The upgradation has begun on Ganeshman roadway linking to Thankot at the border of Thaha Municipality-9 of Makwanpur and Chandragiri Municipality-7 of Kathmandu.
As part of the road upgradation, expansion of the road in four kilometers of Chandragiri Municipality-4 and 7 and blacktopping around 10 kilometers road from Chitlang to Kunchhal are underway. Construction of drain and gravelling would be complete by seven months, said Bagmati State Assembly Member Rama Alemagar, also Chairperson of Thankot-Chitlang-Ganeshman road concern committee.
The federal government has provided Rs 130 million to upgrade the road.
The government would allocate additional budget for blacktopping, and slabs on the drain in the second phase, said Magar.
Preparations were underway to operate light vehicles from Kunchhal to Chitlang in some weeks, she said.
