Govt for all side discussion to reduce Covid-19 impact: Finance Minister Poudel

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said the ministry would hold discussion with all concerned stakeholders in order to reduce the adverse impact of Covid-19 on national economy. 

Gold price rises by Rs 500 per tola today

The price of gold (both hallmark and worked) has increased by Rs 500 per tola in the Nepali market today, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association. 

Second phase of COVID-19 vaccination today  

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is inaugurating the second phase of the immunization campaign by taking a shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to Chief of the Child Health and Vaccination Unit under the Department of Health Service, Dr Jhalak Sharma Gautam.  

Makwanpurgadhi to Sindhuligadhi cycle tour  

A cycle tour has been organized from Makwanpurgadhi to Sindhuligadhi with the objective of promoting the preservation of the historical gadis or forts. The event is also aimed at promoting domestic tourism in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati province.    

Cheetah cub found dead on highway

The cub was found dead some 300 meters east of the Tikauli check post, according to information officer at Division Forest Office, Chitwan, Bal Krishna Khanal. The female Cheetah of around eight months old was found dead with injuries hit by a vehicle.  

HURPES elects new executive committee 

The Human Rights and Peace Society has elected a new executive committee led by Govinda Khanal of Rupandehi. Khanal was elected the new Chair of the HURPES unanimously by the 23rd national council meeting of the society that concluded in Pokhara on Saturday.

Twenty-two people sitting in the written examinations for the post of police constable, on behalf of the real examinees, were arrested.     

Narayangadh-Muglin road to shut down 

The Narayagadh-Muglin road will remain closed for landslide prevention work for a week starting today. It will be closed for traffic from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm every day, until March 13.     

HoR Seventh Session commences Sunday with 'crucial' agenda on table

The Seventh Session of the House of Representatives (HoR), the lower house of the Federal Parliament, is commencing from Sunday at a time when the dispute within the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is at its crest.  President Bidya Devi Bhandari has summoned the first meeting of the Seventh Session of the HoR for 4pm on Sunday. The Head of State has summoned the HoR session on the recommendation of the government as per the constitutional provision.

'I am not in race for prime minister', NC President Deuba says
