'Our stadium, my chair' campaign kicks off   

   Under the campaign, one can write his/her name in the chair placed in the stadium parapet by donating Rs 100,000. Now the donors have approached the Foundation to write their names in the chair by donating the stipulated amount. 

Health camp provides free treatment to 600 people   

As many as 600 people have received health treatment service from a free health camp held at Gurans rural municipality-8, Dharam Pokhara in Dailekh. 

  People’s representatives facilitate locals in obtaining citizenship certificates   

Local people’s representatives have facilitated a process required for obtaining Nepali citizenship certificate. The representatives on Sunday reached the District Administration Office Makwanpur to facilitate the process to the residents of remote Raksirang rural municipality for the same.    

Speaker Sapkota thanks court, all sectors for contribution to restore HoR

Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota welcomed the parliamentarians attending the first meeting of the seventh session of the restored HoR on Sunday. He also thanked all sectors and the Supreme Court for their contributions to restore the lower house that was dissolved by incumbent Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The meeting began on Sunday.

First lot of vaccine against COVID-19 under COVAX Facility arrives in Nepal

Apart from the vaccine, 350,000 sets of syringe and 3,500 sets of vaccine set were handed over to Minister for Health and Population Hridayesh Tripathi. The handover ceremony was attended by the representatives of COVAX's technical and financial partners.

Technology misused to disrepute me: Minister Ale

Minister for Forest and Environment Prem Bahadur Ale defended himself and said he was defamed by misusing technology.     Minister Ale was referring to those video clips doing rounds in social networking sites lately where he was projected as saying, "Tree gives carbon dioxide to human."  

Two more Nepalis succumb to coronavirus abroad

Two more Nepalis died of coronavirus abroad this week. According to the Health Committee of the Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), the victims are from the UK. As of Saturday evening, 341 Nepalis residing in several 21 countries died of the virus. 

Karnali Technical School awaits renovation, proper management  

The Karnali Technical School is in the long wait of renovation. The physical condition of the country's first technical school is in sorry state. The road inside the school is in the wretched condition. The structure lacks a proper fencing.  

Joining govt not priority: Leader Bastola   

Talking to media persons here today, leader Bastola said further details would be revealed gradually as the 3-point agreement was struck with the government. He however said his party was for extending cooperation to build such government that ensures scientific socialism by resolving the anomalies in parliamentary system.
